Quality Assurance System for Advanced Radiotherapy (QUASAR™)

QUASAR supports the testing of a wide variety of dosimetric and nondosimetric functions of Radiation Therapy Planning Systems and CT Simulators using a range of innovative QA phantoms.

QUASAR phantoms are a valuable part of any quality assurance program. From respiratory motion and MLC beam geometry to daily on-board imaging QA, QUASAR phantoms are ready to be incorporated into your QA protocols for regularly scheduled testing. They are also effective for commissioning new systems and upgrades, and testing repairs.

Designed by and for medical physicists, QUASAR phantoms provide you with confidence that your radiation treatment planning software and CT simulators are performing to their full potential.

Respiratory Motion Phantom Thumbnail QUASAR Respiratory Motion Phantom is a state-of-the-art breathing simulator for conducting quality assurance testing on radiotherapy systems. Using a personal computer to communicate with the Programmable Respiratory Motion Phantom, the software application downloads patient respiratory waveforms to the phantom, simulating the breathing function.

QUASAR Testimonial

The Importance of Confidence

“AAPM TG-53 made clear recommendations on multiple tests that need to be considered for evaluating the dosimetric and nondosimetric components of radiation therapy planning systems. QUASAR™ is a very important component of any radiation therapy department’s quality assurance toolkit. It ensures that all your equipment is working together. Ultimately, it provides confidence that your patient is getting the best possible treatment.”
